The Flawless Pi Tau Chapter of
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated was organized on November 12, 1922 in Indianapolis, Indiana by seven school teachers. Soaring to greater heights of attainment around the world, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated, as a leading international service organization, has met the challenges of the day and continues to grow through Sisterhood, Scholarship and Service.
The Pi Tau Chapter was chartered on the campus of Gettysburg College on January 16, 2005. Seven young women inspired to change the Greek system at Gettysburg College established Sigma Gamma Rho as the first National Pan-Hellenic Council-member organization at the institution. Nadia Edwards, Jessica Baltazar, Shalandra Peets, Alicia Carrington, Folashade Rodriguez, Luz Santana, and Jennette VonBargen are the chartering members of Pi Tau Chapter with Nadia Edwards as the first Basileus.
Since 2005, Pi Tau has provided innovative service programs and initiatives to the Gettysburg community. Signature projects include: Sigma Week in March, the Annual 5K Race benefitting Foundations for Life and Operation Big Book Bag.
