Greetings from Caroline Harper, Basileus

Welcome Howard County residents. I bring you greetings on behalf of the Eta Zeta Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. The Eta Zeta Sigma chapter was established in Howard County in March of 2006 to serve the local community while adhering to our founding slogan: Greater Service, Greater Progress!

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is a sorority founded on the principles of scholarship, sisterhood and service. It is our goal within the Eta Zeta Sigma chapter, that through our commitment to the community, we may continue to impact the lives of the women and youth by providing educational resources, service and programs.

We provide a number of programs stemming from our sorority’s national focus including but not limited to: H3: Healthy Living, Healthy Choices, Healthy Generations, Project Reassurance, Project Cradle Care, Hattie McDaniel Breast Cancer Awareness and the Mwanamugimu Essay Contest which provides scholarships annually to students for completing a research paper on the history and development of Africa.

Some of our National partners include the Girl Scouts of America, St. Jude and the March of Dimes.  Our local community partners allow us to work with places such as Grassroots Women’s Shelter, Ellicott City Dancel YMCA, Wilde Lake High School and other local schools, targeting programs that specifically effect women and young girls.

We would love to have you attend some of our future events and hope to meet you soon.

Welcome,

Caroline Harper
